Wall hanging, 100% cotton fabric, hand pieced and hand quilted

This quilt was made with a technique handed down through generations by quilters on the Isle of Man. Each Manx log cabin quilt is hand made and one of a kind: measurements for each element in the log cabin block are based on the dimensions of the maker’s own fingers and hands, and the pieces are all sewn by hand, with each “log” folded over the one below it. The result is a very heavy bed covering or wall hanging with no batting — but lots of character.
